I'm recently retired and generally loving life right now. I play in swing bands and orchestras, I enjoy cooking, gardening, looking after my 2 dogs, and traveling. I like to keep myself busy, including regular volunteering activity, and think I have a pretty upbeat approach to life. Having just turned 60, I'm resolved that this is going to be the best decade so far! This is all great.... but there is undoubtedly a missing part to life, which is the pleasure in sharing experiences with a partner.

I hope I'm going to be really open-minded here, but, if he doesn't have a sense of humour, a twinkle in his eye, a can-do attitude, then this is gonna be a struggle. A love of live music, a dab-hand in the kitchen, a variety of interests (let's face it, we don't have to be joined at the hip in everything!) would be great. Someone who is really comfortable with where they are in life and looking forward to a "new chapter". Oh, and a lot of love and patience for Labradors - might as well get that said now.
