About her
I'm pretty happy with my lot, just looking for the icing on the proverbial lemon drizzle. I have two secondary-school aged children, a challenging professional job that I love, and a high-energy dog. I spend my leisure time being taxi-Mum, trying to wear out aforementioned canine, life-drawing, doing yoga, occasionally visiting the gym and gardening. I am passionate about plants and am thrilled to have a new garden to plan. I scrub up OK but I'm a country girl at heart; I'm most comfortable in walking gear and you won't catch me in a nail bar.
Things that make me smile:
Opening a new box of Earl Grey tea, my spaniel, bouncing like Tigger in long grass, skylark song, leftovers for breakfast, my son's Mr. Bean impressions, Einaudi, getting Wordle by the third row, the Yorkshire Dales, hares on a crisp March morning, petrichor, old-fashioned roses, the work of Euan Uglow, picnics,
bumblebees, Cloud Busting on my drive in to work, the Tate Modern, a foot massage, beech trees, the lyrics of Courtney Barnett, and cake (most kinds).

I am looking for someone who wants to build a great relationship. Someone who knows the importance of open communication and shared values. Someone who is still excited about life, it's wonder and possibilities.
I'm drawn to people who are outdoorsy and would like to meet someone who enjoys long walks, cycling (I have a cracking road bike that hasn't had anywhere near enough use) and if you like kayaking, count me in! I'm not prescriptive about physical type but I look after my health and would like to be with someone who feels the same. If you're up for art galleries, comedy and theatre that's great, but not a dealbreaker if you're not. Good conversation is a must- I enjoy wit, banter and wordplay of all kinds. And I'm competitive at Scrabble. I'm hoping to find someone who enjoys meals out and weekends away, and if you're Heston Blumenthal in the kitchen and can give a good massage that would be wonderful too.
Full disclosure- my children live with me most of the time, and I am still very much engaged with my career so if you are already retired and looking to wind down we probably won't have compatible lifestyles, unless you are equally busy.
