About him
I live a simple, quiet life in the countryside and always have. It is my good fortune not to have a complicated life or relationship baggage in attendance. I travel light through each day. I am gentle, kind and loving they say. It might be appropriate to meet another kindred spirit. My highest values are love, health and freedom. Without love we are nothing.
The high life is not for me. That said, I do have a predilection for expensive antique and classical clothing. Also a daily dose of classical music. All in all a quintessential eccentric old fashioned Englishman.

PS. I hold a PhD in History of Art and Philosophy if that is of any interest. My speciality being the philosophy of aesthetics. I am a published academic author etc. I absolutely love history and have been fortunate to own a rustic cottage which in parts date to 1574. So if you love history, the quiet country life then you might be my type.

A person who is patient and kind. Without envy, someone who does not boast and is not proud.
Someone who does not dishonour others, is not self-seeking, not easily angered (because I am moody), keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Someone who always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres . Impossible to achieve but I am exquisitely unrealistic.

Exotic peregrinations, adventurism, sybaritic hedonism are so passé ladies, so trite and commonplace. [@] Quite vulgar and superfluous in my opinion. To paraphrase Jean-Paul Sartre memories gleaned from these commonplaces are like coins in the devil's purse: when you open it you find only dead leaves. Worthless currency. When you actively try to "spend" or relive those memories, you find they hold no true weight; they are merely dry, dead leaves from experiences that have long passed.
So ladies, these glossy baubles and fleshy trifles are not at all what I seek in a woman and not at all what I would offer a woman. Quite off-putting. Nor do I appreciate the alienating radiance of an assumed feminine superiority. Yawn.
For the right lady though:
