About her
I am enquiring, outgoing, generous and fun, yet I also enjoy those quieter times on my own or with just a couple of friends. I have been told that I am someone who brings people together - my career was in the hotel world so I am quite good at networking at all levels.
I am now an "apprentice" retiree - finding my way around this new chapter in my life! Whilst I am still doing some voluntary work, I have taken time to relax, contemplating what to do next. I think it will be something connected in the community around environmental/nature issues or, possibly if it is a fit, a part time job. I have left my career behind me, but open to doing something useful and meaningful, locally.
I lived in London for 27 years but chose to move somewhere which is closer to the countryside. I spent part of my childhood in a Wiltshire village. I still love visiting London, but since moving here, even with commuting for my then job, I have been involved in community enterprises.
I really enjoy entertaining friends, going for walks, pottering around my garden, talking to my cats (!), practicing yoga and leading a bi-weekly a meditation group.

This is a big question! What is an ideal match? I feel it is something we know when we meet and get to know a person. It is a sharing of ideals whilst respecting each other's differences. The usual traits like honesty, kindness, humour, generosity and compassion are essential but they are all part of knowing that being with that person feels special.
I am looking to meet someone who I can share the little and bigger things in life - from cultural activities to walks in the countryside; gently watching the world go by to sundowners in my garden, travels around the UK to nights in watching a favourite film.
