About him
I am retired now and enjoy living by the sea in Worthing but only came here from London four years ago for my wife's health - very sadly she died within a year. We were very happily married for 49 years and I looked after her on my own for the last few years
My friends would describe me as sensitive, kind, generous and loyal. I love travelling and witnessing the extraordinary beauty of nature in different countries, and enjoying their many cuisines. Italy is one of my favourite places to visit for its history, art and architecture but since coming to Worthing, I have grown to love the splendour of nature in this country. I enjoy going to the theatre, concerts, exhibitions and the cinema. I keep fit mainly by walking, whether on the coast, the South Downs, or climbing Cissbury Ring.
Life is short and to be enjoyed. I far prefer to do things with someone rather than on my own, which is why I am hoping to find somebody with a good sense of humour, who is honest, reasonably active and with compatible interests and values.

Ideally I would like to find someone with a positive, happy outlook on life, with a good sense of humour and a desire to fully enjoy life. Ideally they should be reasonably fit so we could enjoy walking in the countryside, travelling, hunting out good restaurants and going to exhibitions, the theatre and cinema. We should very much enjoy being with each other, chatting about whatever comes to mind and having a good awareness of each other's emotional sensibilities.
